Cruising the Cruise Industry for Deals

One of the most popular vacations today is to take a
cruise. Many people think taking a cruise has to be
expensive, but that simply is not true. If you have
any experience making travel reservations than it is
possible for you to either earn extra income by booking
cruises for people or earn free cruises by booking
cruises for people in your spare time.

It really depends on what you want to do when it comes to
go about getting the cruises. There are many opportunities
out there to set up group cruises. You can put up posters
that advertise your service and then wait for potential
clients to come to you. For example, if you know that
a group of people in your area would like to take a
diving cruise or a family reunion cruise, you can help
them make their plans.

Very often cruise ships offer discounts to groups booking
multiple rooms. If you book a group of rooms for them
you may be entitled to a free booking on the same line
with similar or even more deluxe accommodations. Though
you may have to pay your own travel to and from the cruise
ship you can still earn a completely free cruise by spending
a little time online or on the phone booking the rooms
for the group.

Finding the group to book a cruise for is probably going
to be more work for you than booking the cruise itself.
Once you have the group together then you can either
book all of the trips online or you can go to a nearby
travel agent and have them book all the rooms. Generally
speaking, it is cheaper if you book the trips directly
from an online source than it is through an agent.

You will be required to put down a deposit for each room
reserved on the cruise. You will want to collect that
money in advance from those taking the cruise and then
you can put the deposit on your credit card. The balance
is typically do within 75 days of the departure date of
the cruise. If you are booking closer to the date of
the actually cruise you may have to pay all or most of
the ticket upfront. In fact, keep in mind that you may
be able to book a cheap cruise if you book close to the
departure date because a cruise line will not want to
sail with an empty room when they can at least earn some
income by offering it at a reduced rate. You may be able
to charge the full price and book the room for someone at
the reduced rate and earn extra money if you are comfortable
doing that. The possibilities are as endless as the oceans
that await you on the cruise.
