Australia ~ The Perfect Beach Destination.

If you love lounging on the beach Australia is
your paradise. The southern hemisphere has some
of the most beautiful beaches in the world and
Australia boasts hundreds of them. With so many
beaches to choose from, how can you decide
which ones to visit? The best way is to see what
each beach is known for and choose based on that.
The small town of Durras boasts one of the most
peaceful and beautiful beaches in all of Australia.
Durras is located a mere three hours south of
Sydney, and the drive is well worth it. The beach
here is simply amazing. The waters are turquoise
blue and the beach is a soft sandy white. You can
spend hours if not days surfing, swimming, or
even canoeing in these stunning waters. While
here be sure to check out the beautiful rainforests
and enjoy the many species of birds. There~s so
much to see and do here you may want to spend
several days.
Keep heading south from Durras and you~ll hit
Long Beach. Long beach is known for its serene
waters that seem to be made for jet skiing and
swimming. Long beach is perfect for families and
children will have a great time buildings sand
castles and playing in the water. Be sure to head
there early in the morning since it can get quite
busy, especially during the summer months.
Bateman~s Bay is the perfect beach destination for
water sports or just lounging at one of the seaside
restaurants. This exciting tourist destination is
located approximately 150 kilometers south of
Canberra, which is Australia~s capital city. Some of
the water activities here include fishing, jet skiing,
canoeing, and swimming. The beaches are perfect
for working on your tan as well. Be sure to head
into town and check out some of the many
fascinating souvenir shops. You~re sure to find a
little seaside treasure of your own.
Surf Beach is another famous Australian beach that
can be found along the south shores of the country.
The waters here are calm enough for children to
paddle in while at the same time the waves are big
enough for some great body boarding. One treat
that you~ll enjoy when you visit Surf Beach are the
dolphins that can easily be seen from the shore.
With so many wonderful beaches to choose from
you~ll have a hard time deciding where to spend
your day. Make sure that you leave plenty of time
in your travel schedule for lounging on the beaches
of Australia. Make sure that you bring along plenty
of sunscreen since the blinding sun will soon cause
your sun to burn.
